Developing a Social Media Policy for the Workplace
Having good policies and procedures is recommended for any company. In today’s electronic workplace, the social media and electronics communications policies are perhaps two of the most important policies. They must be well-tailored and suited for individual companies and should always contain language recognizing the rights of both the employee and the employer.
Amie Remington, General Counsel, Landrum Human Resource Companies, and Ted Kirchharr, VP & COO, Landrum Employer Services discuss what employers should include when developing a social media policy for the workplace. The following is the second of two Social Media in the Workplace videos offered by Landrum Human Resource Companies. Watch our first video addressing “Social Media in the Workplace” here.
